Construction activities have gathered fresh momentum at La Campagne Tropicana Lake Resort in Ibi, Taraba State, following an inspection visit by the Founder and CEO, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, who supervised ongoing developments and revealed plans for the next phase of the resort’s expansion.
Accompanied by his Able Executive Assistant, Mrs. Aminat Thompson, and the resort’s engineering team, the renowned tourism entrepreneur carried out an extensive inspection of the project site, issuing strategic directives to ensure the smooth execution of the resort’s master plan.
One of the major highlights of the visit was the marking of the resort’s boundary in preparation for Phase Two of the development, which will commence after the completion of the current Phase One project. The Phase Two expansion is expected to share a boundary with a proposed golf course project being developed in partnership with La Campagne Tropicana.
Inspecting the Phase One development, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye also reviewed the resort’s tree houses, where additional improvements are being carried out in line with his vision for the project.
According to the Head of Engineering in the Taraba region, the original plan to construct five Amosan (traditional mud houses) has now been expanded to 15 units.
He further disclosed that additional tree houses and Ilerigi (elevated houses built on sticks) have been incorporated into the development, with two Ilerigi structures already under construction and several more scheduled to commence.
The inspection also covered other key infrastructure, including the planned construction of six security posts to enhance safety across the resort.
Recreational facilities are also progressing steadily. The badminton court and swimming pool have been completed, while construction of the lawn tennis and basketball courts is currently undergoing final refinements before completion.
