For more than three decades, Corporate Guards Limited has remained part of Nigeria’s private security standard, building its operations around the protection of organisations, recruitment of security personnel and continuous monitoring of its workforce.
Now, after years of developing its presence and strengthening its relationship with organisations across the country, the security company is entering another phase, one that is expected to broaden its operational reach this August.
Established in 1992, Corporate Guards Limited has maintained a long-standing presence in Lagos, where its operations have continued to serve corporate organisations and other institutions requiring professional security services.
But the company’s next move is taking its operations beyond its established base.
As part of the expansion, Corporate Guards Limited is preparing to officially launch another operational office on August 10, 2026.
According to Captain Gerald Ugwo, one of the company’s training and staff-welfare officers, the decision behind the expansion was deliberate and connected to the need to position the company closer to a growing number of established organisations.
Ugwo explained that the new operational base was strategically considered because of the concentration of reputable organisations within the area and the opportunities available for the company to extend its services.
Among the organisations where Corporate Guards personnel currently operate, he mentioned Indomie and FCMB, adding that the company is also looking forward to attracting more established organisations within the area and beyond.
The new office is located in Sango-Ota, Ogun State, and its official launch on August 10 is expected to strengthen the company’s ability to recruit, deploy and monitor its security personnel within the surrounding business environment.
He added that the responsibilities of the new operational office would follow the company’s established structure, including the recruitment of Corporate Guards personnel, monitoring of deployed staff and ensuring that the required standards are maintained across client organisations.
He also added that this new location is similar to the company’s operations at its existing location in Lekki Phase 1, 24A Shakiru Anjorin Street, where personnel management, recruitment and monitoring form part of the company’s day-to-day security operations.
Ugwo clarified that the company already has two locations in Abeokuta through FCMB, but also made it understandable that these are client locations where Corporate Guards personnel operate and are not operational offices of the company.
The distinction is significant as the new development represents an actual operational base from which Corporate Guards can coordinate its activities, recruit personnel and monitor services within the surrounding areas.
