Otunba Olawanle Akinboboye, founder and builder of La Campagne Tropicana Forest, River & Beach Resort, has reiterated his long-standing belief that African countries must come together to complete each other rather than compete.
The genius hospitality guru made this known while delivering an inspirational speech at the recently concluded East West Amalgamation Summit, which was held at the prestigious Ethiopia Skyline Hotel in Bole district, Addis Ababa, where Motherland Beckons, IPADA Initiatives, and NBCC laid the foundation for East West Amalgamation.
The historical conference brought together participants from different parts of Africa to explore opportunities for deeper integration through tourism, security, trade, culture, and the creative arts.

For Otunba Olawanle Akinboboye, Africa’s strength lies not merely in the individual capabilities of its countries but in the possibilities that emerge when those capabilities are connected.
He argued that the continent should move beyond seeing neighboring and sister countries as rivals competing for the same tourists, investments, and opportunities. Instead, each country should identify its unique strengths and use them to create a larger African economic and cultural ecosystem.
According to him, one African country may have natural attractions, another strong cultural heritage, and another developed infrastructure, creative talent, or specialised industries. Rather than operating in isolation, these differences can become the building blocks of a more integrated continent.
