BREAKING NEWS!!! How IPADA 2026 Will Bring 15,000 Participants From Over 35 Countries to Nigeria for Africa’s Biggest Homecoming

Nigeria is set to host one of Africa’s largest cultural, tourism and investment gatherings as the IPADA Initiatives Celebration 2026 prepares to welcome more than 15,000 participants from over 35 countries to La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort between December 3rd and 6th, 2026.

IPADA, a Yoruba word meaning “The Return,” is a global initiative designed to reconnect people of African descent and lovers of Africa with the continent through culture, heritage, tourism, investment and entrepreneurship.

The four-day event is expected to attract Africans in the Diaspora, investors, entrepreneurs, government officials, diplomats, traditional rulers, tourism professionals, students, creatives and development partners, while millions more are projected to participate through television broadcasts and digital platforms.

The celebration goes beyond cultural festivities, positioning Nigeria as a strategic destination for tourism, economic partnerships and global cultural diplomacy.

The initiative enjoys the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who serves as the Chief Host, Grand Patron and Global Ambassador of IPADA, for in promoting Nigeria’s tourism industry, cultural heritage and economic development.

Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, organisers explained that IPADA seeks to strengthen relationships between Africa and its global Diaspora while creating sustainable opportunities in business, investment, entrepreneurship and cultural exchange.

Guests will enjoy an extensive programme that combines business, entertainment, culture and adventure.

One of the major highlights is the Business Unusual Investment Picnic, a high-level networking platform expected to connect investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs and business leaders to explore investment opportunities across Africa.

The event will also feature the colourful Carnival Parade, showcasing Africa’s rich traditions through music, dance and elaborate cultural displays, alongside the Nefertiti: Queen of Africa Pageant, which celebrates African beauty, leadership, intelligence and cultural pride.

Other attractions include the Blossom Retreat for women and young entrepreneurs, the symbolic African Naming Ceremony, authentic continental cuisine through the African Buffet, cultural excursions to historical sites, the IPADA Green Legacy Programme dedicated to environmental sustainability, the Africa International Music Festival (AIM Festival), and exciting Beach Olympics featuring sports, traditional games and entertainment.

The organisers added  that the choice of La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort provides participants with a unique eco-tourism experience, combining the Atlantic Ocean, freshwater lagoons, mangrove forests and authentic African architecture in an environment that reflects the continent’s natural and cultural heritage.

Activities will commence on Thursday, December 3, with registration, resort tours, Beach Olympics registration, carnival preparations, beach bonfire, African drumming, an outdoor movie night and a showcase of ancient African kingdoms.

On Friday, December 4th 2026,  delegates will participate in the Business Unusual Conference, a beachfront dinner, the Nefertiti Pageant, the stage production of Odigbose, and a beach party with bonfire.

The Saturday, December 5th programme includes an African breakfast experience, African Naming Ceremony, Beach Olympics, Blossom Retreat, tree planting exercise, Yoruba cultural experience and award presentations.

The grand finale on Sunday, December 6, will feature the African Food Festival, official opening ceremony, keynote address, investment dialogues and a continental cultural celebration before delegates depart the following day.
