Habibi, Come to La Campagne Tropicana

By Damilola Adeyera

Dear Habibi,

I write this letter to you on the instructions of your señorita. “Convince my lover to take a restful break from work,” that was her instruction to me.
Señorita tells me about the love you both share, Habibi.

From the way she speaks about you, I can tell that you and she have become inseparable. She, however, fears that you’re letting the never-ending rat race of life come between what the Almighty has joined together.

Your señorita is worried that you and work have become inseparable. She says you work too much. According to her, morning comes, and you are already answering emails. By the time it’s afternoon, you are buried in back-to-back meetings. When nighttime arrives, one would think you’d relax your way into the warmth of your senorita’s embrace. But, according to your senorita, your phone still rings with one more call, one more task, and one more deadline.

Habibi, your lover is worried.
If you ask me, Habibi, I think she has a point.
You have spent so much time building, planning, chasing targets, and meeting expectations that you may have forgotten that even the most hardworking person needs to pause. A machine can be switched off when it overheats. A phone needs to be recharged when its battery runs low. Why should it be any different for you?
On behalf of your señorita, Dear Habibi, I have come to make a proposal.

Come to La Campagne Tropicana.

La Campagne Tropicana

No, Habibi, I won’t want you to quit your work. I am not asking you to abandon your responsibilities. I simply want you to allow yourself to take a holiday. A proper one. A holiday to a place where you are one with nature. A place where the sound of your alarm is replaced by the sound of crashing waves. A place where the first thing you see in the morning is not a spreadsheet, a deadline, or a notification, but the wonders of nature.

Imagine waking up and stepping outside to breathe in the fresh morning air. Mother Nature has to offer. Imagine walking along the beach without rushing to catch a meeting. Imagine sitting beneath the trees, listening to the singing birds of the earth. Imagine. Just imagine. Habibi, this is the kind of break your Senorita is asking for. There is a world awaiting you outside your office.

The hustle and bustle of modern life leaves little room for imagination. Life in the city is noisy. The noise from an electricity-generating set is enough to cripple one’s own imagination. Our phones demand our constant attention. Schedules are always “scheduling.” The mind is always preoccupied with one deadline to meet; it rarely has the opportunity to create.

Otunba Olawanle Akinboboye, the founder of La Campagne Tropicana forest, river & beach resort, believes that a day or more enjoyed under the natural ambience of nature reenergizes the mind, body, and soul.

At the resort, the noise of traffic is replaced with the sound of waves meeting the shore. The city’s concrete skylines are replaced with the sight of endless natural landscapes. The fresh ocean breeze ushers you into a sense of calm that fuels reflection and deep thought.

“In such an environment like La Campagne, your imagination journeys, writers find stories. Artists discover inspiration. Entrepreneurs identify opportunities. Researchers connect seemingly unrelated concepts. Families dream about the future. Children explore the world with renewed curiosity,” Otunba Akinboboye said.

As I end this letter to you, Habibi, I want you to know that in Senorita, you’ve found the perfect love. And this is why I implore you to heed her advice, take a break from work, and book a paid trip to La Campagne Tropicana Forest, River, & Beach Resort, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.
Yours sincerely,
Damilola Adeyera.
