Summer 2026 at La Campagne Tropicana Forest River and Beach Resort didn’t have a dress code. Instead, it had a vibe code. Which was: “Look good.” Feel free. Be real.
Months of robust outings on the sand with beach parties, fun, dance, exotic foods, and nature. Sixty-five acres of forest, river, and beach turned into Lagos’ biggest, most colorful runway. And the models? Guests. Families. Couples. Creatives. Children who led the dance floor.
It was summer style, the La Campagne way, with daily flexing at the beach.
The look was linen, light, and effortless. But Ankara stood out without apology in various shapes, colours, and sizes.
Oversized shirts over swimwear were also clearly in vogue. Straw hats, sombreros, and Cowboy hats that had stories to tell of arrival from far-away continents, and crafted hats from neighbouring West Africa.
Hats from East and North Africa were not left out.
Women in kaftans that caught the breeze. Men in drawstring pants and bare chests with sunglasses.
But the real accessory was sand between your toes.
No heels. No tight jeans. No, “I’m trying too hard.”
Just you, the Atlantic, and a chic bag full of sunscreen and beach party items.

The photos determined how colorful La Campagne Tropicana’s environment could be. From awe-struck, picturesque sand and ocean landscapes to model shots by coconut trees overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, giving photos a Caribbean feel.
There were flex shots: a group photo at The Sandwich where the Lagoon meets the Ocean. Sometimes all the members of the group were all in white. Everyone glowing.
The forest woke up in the morning to greet guests with sounds of birds, squirrels, and monkeys.

When guests went on nature walks or boat rides, the style shifted.
Utility chic. Cargo shorts. Breathable dresses. Bucket hats. Sneakers that played with the sand and glided through the beach lawn.
And style made a statement here.
Why? Because it was about simplicity outdoors; though casual, the look was stylish.
African-print bucket hats. Ankara scrunchies. Beaded bracelets from local vendors. Couples matching in various colours: green and brown, and louder colours, pink, purple, red, and wine.
And at most buffet dinner times, the fashion and style hit the roof!
Summer 2026 really showed out. It left an indelible mark.
The scents and perfumes were almost out of this world.
Everyone at the beach had a scent. It was a sin not to smell nice this last summer! You could trail some persons on the beach even after two hours; they’d long passed your spot.
Ladies with flowy Ankara gowns, slit maxi dresses, wrappers tied with confidence, gold hoops, and bold lipstick. Hair in braids with cowries.
Men in showy paint-splash summer shirts with sneakers. Short-sleeve Ankara shirts over dark pants. Senator wear for gala nights.
The Princes, royals stood out with their beads. And some of the rings on fingers actually glittered at night during dinner, and you are left wondering: were those ‘real’ diamond rings?

But guess what?
No one cared about perfect accessories here.
No one cared how expensive your accessories were or are.
No one cared about the perfect photo here.
No one even looked too hard.
Everyone cared about the perfect memory.
For themselves, family, and friends.
Just look good!
That was the code: Comfortable!
It was about: The Look: Color, Joy, and No Hard Rules
Summer 2026 belonged to the children.
Neon swim shorts. Cartoon tees. Beaded hair. Face paints.
They ran from pool to beach to forest and back, and their outfits kept up.
Parents tried to coordinate. The children said yes and no and yes, all at once (laugh).
As for the Fashion and Style 2026 takeaway?
The truth remained the same!

Let your fashion and style tell the truth about you.
Style feels best when you’re free.
When the wind is in your hair.
When your outfit can go from breakfast to a boat ride and to the dance floor.
When you look good and feel like yourself.
Comfort can easily portray luxury. If you can’t dance in it, don’t wear it.
Nature is the filter; choose linen, cotton, Ankara, and so on.
Culture is always in, so bring your prints. Bring your beads. Bring your story.
Barefoot is formal, especially at the beach.
Remember to flex and be real at Summer!
Summer 2026 at La Campagne wasn’t just about trends.
It was more about memories.
